Which Hermetic Seal?
If an industry-standard seal doesn’t meet your specifications, we can work with you to find a cost-effective solution with a short lead time by creating a custom seal for your design. We have helped to create thousands of custom hermetic connector seals which can withstand high pressure and temperatures ranging from -100⁰C to 250⁰C.
The custom hermetic connector seals are achieved using epoxy resin. Epoxy seals offer advantages to both ceramic feedthroughs and glass feedthroughs and they are frequently used to solve design challenges that can’t be addressed easily with glass or ceramic seals. Epoxy seals can be routed through tight spaces and angles, frequently allowing us to solve design challenges that can’t be addressed easily with glass seals or ceramic seals. Epoxy seals can effectively seal gases and fluids, including helium gas with very low helium gas rates, making them a popular option in fiber optic and electrical hermetic seals. Epoxy seals have excellent resistance to oils and gasoline, so epoxy seals are the perfect choice for aerospace, energy and automotive industries too.
Testing Hermetically Sealed Connectors
Every circular feedthrough goes through the same rigorous testing to ensure top quality products are guaranteed. They all are dimensionally checked, continuity tested, hipot tested and go through a helium leak test.
