Flex Circuit Feedthroughs
Epoxy hermetically sealed flex circuit feedthroughs are a sensible solution for engineers who need to pass power and signal wires through the walls of pressure and vacuum chambers. Most importantly, where the engineers don’t have a need for quick connections or dis-connections on one or both sides of the chamber, the cable feedthroughs are an excellent concept.
A cable seal feedthrough that is hermetically sealed with epoxy offers a more flexible solution that as a result saves space. These wire seal feedthroughs pass conductors in a cable harness through a chamber wall with no vacuum or pressure loss. Furthermore, an epoxy sealed wire feedthrough also eliminates issues with voltage drop, contact resistance, and other electrical problems.

Hermetic cable seal feedthroughs are used in many applications and industries. An epoxy hermetically sealed cable feedthrough is a better solution if you don’t need to disconnect at the bulkhead.

Continuous feedthroughs can also be used in older systems when retrofitting is necessary. Adding new instrumentation or sensors to an existing chamber can be a time-consuming and difficult task when using standard connectors or when the opening of the chamber wall does not allow additional conductors. A cable seal feedthrough can therefore be adapted to add more conductors to work with limitations in an existing system.
Cable Seal Testing
Every hermetic cable seal is tested with pressure and / or helium leak tested. In addition, all hermetic cable seal feedthroughs are hipot and / or continuity tested to ensure the cable seal feedthrough is correctly wired. This ensures every cable seal feedthrough we ship is robust.
